About the Host: Originally from Regina, Carman moved to Vancouver in 2001 to study jazz at Capilano College (now University). During that time he sang with the school’s top vocal ensemble NiteCap and had the opportunity to perform with such jazz luminaries as Kurt Elling, Kenny Werner, Phil Nimmons and Ed Thigpen. He has since become an in-demand singer in the choral music scene, and is a member of the internationally acclaimed vocal chamber ensemble, musica intima. Carman’s vast knowledge of jazz singers and popular song makes him a hit at parties and an excellent trivia partner.
